Meet Me
Hi, I'm Lucy
I am the person behind Cutesy Cuts.
After spending several years working in a children's hair salon, I realised I wanted to create something of my own - somewhere that felt less clinical, a little less overwhelming and much more personal.
So. around three years ago, I took the leap and created Cutesy Cuts from home.
My vision was simple: a place where children could come exactly as they are.
I wanted to create an environment where a child who fidgets, cries, moves around, needs a break or simply doesn't like having their hair cut would never feel like a problem.
Over the years, I have especially loved working with children with autism, ADHD, SEN, and sensory differences, as well as children who have simply had difficult experiences with haircuts before.
I am incredibly proud of how far Cutesy Cuts has come and, most importantly, of the little relationships I have built with so many children and their families along the way.
Because for me, it is never just about cutting hair. It's about helping children feel safe, understood and proud of themselves.
Why I love Cutesy Cuts
One of my favourite things about this job is seeing the same children come back again and again.
Watching a child who was once terrified of haircuts slowly become comfortable enough to enjoy them is incredibly rewarding.
And then getting to watch those children grow up over the years?
That’s something I feel very lucky to be part of.
